SKYNET

skynet SKYNET is the opto-electronic system comprising a lens, "Fisheye" and the corresponding digital cameras all set in a separate assembly, and computer software. The system is designed for simultaneous observation of phenomena and events in the sky, data storage and processing in real time or later, depending on the needs and possibilities.

For each individual image shows the entire sky from horizon to horizon (180 ° / 360 °). This field is necessary for the observation and study of meteors and fire balls, when the simultaneous observation of the whole sky desirable characteristics of the system. As a secondary system tasks are set; tracking of artificial satellites, cloud cover (support for other systems Vidulini Observatory and share data with weather stations), and monitoring of light pollution. A special module SKYNET will be used for the purposes of Warms.

SKYNET will eventually be updated with new units (very similar) systems in Croatia and neighboring countries, and will exchange information with similar systems, such as HMM or A3N.

The following is an exhaustive list of capital equipment of Skynet. The system is in the process of equipping! Occasionally uses a simpler version of this system to test the features and gathering experience.
